From 25 to 29 June 2026, Prof. Fujioka, Dr. Okuda, and Dr. Takeuchi, accompanied by other project members visited the An Duong Water Treatment Plant pilot site to inspect the operation of the demonstration system and conduct additional testing activities.

During the visit, the team checked the operational condition and performance of the nanofiltration demonstration unit. A jar tester and a turbidimeter were additionally prepared on site to support water quality analyses and treatment performance evaluations. Dr. Okuda also conducted experiments using Moringa oleifera materials to assess their potential application in water pretreatment. The results obtained at the pilot site provided useful data for further investigation.

Following the field inspection, the research team brought water samples collected from the pilot unit to the HUCE Laboratory for additional testing. The experiments were carried out to further analyze treatment performance and operational parameters under controlled laboratory conditions.

The Japanese research team also met with the HUCE research team to discuss the current progress of the project and the design for the second pilot system. The second pilot unit will soon be operated by HUCE using locally sourced equipment. The mission provided valuable technical findings while advancing progress towards the SATREPS project objectives.
